Dear Randi, Obie's aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and grandfather are devastated, too. Thank you for your note in his memory. Love, Obie's Aunt Anna Los Angeles, CA
Randi, I just found the article today. I am so sorry. I know you guys were good friends. This is so terrible...you are in my heart along with Obie's family.
Obie was an amazing man with a heart of gold. The world was a better place because he was in it. Your smile will be missed forever in the hearts of your friends
Do you have any memories of Obie that you or your friends would like to share with his family? His funeral is tentatively planned for Monday. Love, Anna California aganahl@charter.net
I forwarded your email address to a friend of mine that was good friends with Obie in Oki as well. I hope that is okay. I don't know if his family will contribute or not but I know that they are all very sad and will miss him terribly.
Thank you all very much for you happy words about Obie. I regret that I do not know any of you, nor will I ever likely meet you. Obie was the kind of person who left a lasting impression anywhere he went. You can reach me at kolathllc@hotmail.com with comments. I would be very happy to receive any pictures of Obie that any of his friends may have, as we never really took a lot of pictures. I would also be happy to share "young" Obie with those who knew him only as "soldier" Obie. Thanks again. John
I'm married to a fantastic man who drops by for a visit from time to time (no I'm not kidding). We have 6 amazing kids that keep me busier than any one woman should be. I have an inherent fear of boredom....so I do whatever possible to quell any possiblity of it's rising. That being said, I am also an insomniac...which means at times, even my best efforts are quashed. However, that is not to say that I don't try. I am...for all purpses rendered...a "fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants" kind of girl. Some think this an elaborate excuse to procrastinate, when in fact, it is simply my way of staying sane...and perhaps an occasional excuse to procrasinate. I am insanely loyal to my friends and would drop everything in a moments notice for them. I dig partying with a ton of people. The more the better. I'm told I have an insane gift for making people enjoy themselves. Am studing the possiblility of euphoric gasses released through my salivary glands. It's one of many theories I'm looking into. Along with the off chance that I may just simply exude good times all on my own...curious. I love to sing, and do it as often as possible. Been told I can carry a tune...I do try *eh hem*!
